I think the theme of the story was for us to see that no matter what kind of gift you are getting or how much it cost just make sure its from thew heart. See in the magi they didnt give any gifts that was to spectacular but it was from the heartl. ON the other hand her husband gave a nice gift but it wasnt only nice it meant something.
